Boston Tragedy: Picking Up the Pieces

There are no words that can make sense of the senseless violence that took place at the Boston Marathon finish line. To all our friends and family, thanks for your concern. We are all fine. We were miles away at the time. So far as I know, no one we know was hurt in Boston yesterday. We are very thankful for that. We pray for those who were killed. Our hearts go out to the families of those who have suffered the loss of their loved ones, or whose family members sustained injuries, as well as those who had to witness this terrible tragedy. I hope that they will not be forever scarred by it. I sincerely hope that those responsible will be brought to justice.

Boston, as has been noted, is a strong, tough, and resilient city. A great city. For those of us who call it home, all we can do is pick up the pieces and go on with our lives, a bit more mindful of our surroundings, no doubt, but unbowed, and resolved to be who we are, who we've always been. We are Boston.
